Public Section of the Minutes of the meeting held in Meeting Room 3 at County Hall, on Monday, 30 September, 2024 at 10.05 a.m.

 

Present:

 

Councillors: Eric Broadbent (as substitute for Councillor Stephanie Duckett), Nigel Knapton, Yvonne Peacock (as substitute for Councillor Caroline Goodrick) and Robert Windass (Chair).

 

Apologies: Councillors Stephanie Duckett and Caroline Goodrick.

 

Officers in Attendance: Rachel Conyers (Admissions and Appeals Officer) and Sarah Holbird (Senior Appeals Officer).

96.       Declarations of Interest

 

Councillor Robert Windass declared a personal interest in relation to Item 5 on the agenda and withdrew from the meeting as he felt it would be inappropriate to determine the appeal.

 

(Note: Councillor Robert Windass left the meeting at 10.08 a.m.)

 

97.       Election of Chair for the meeting

 

In the absence of the Chair and Vice-Chair the Clerk sought nominations to appoint a Chair for the meeting.

 

It was proposed by Councillor Eric Broadbent and seconded by Councillor Yvonne           Peacock that Councillor Nigel Knapton be elected as Chair for the meeting.

 

            Resolved –

 

            That Councillor Nigel Knapton be appointed as Chair for the meeting.

 

98.       Exclusion of the Public

 

Resolved –

 

That the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of Item numbers 4 to 6 on the agenda, on the grounds that they each involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006.

 

 

99.      Public Minutes

 

           Resolved –

 

That the Public Section of the Minutes of the meeting held on 9 September 2024, having been previously circulated, be taken as read and confirmed as a correct record.

 

   

Members of the public were excluded from the meeting during consideration of the remaining items of business and have no right to inspect the reports,

which were considered whilst the meeting was not open to the public.
